Membership of the Assured UK Scheme comprises five leading UK maltsters - Bairds Malt Ltd, Crisp Malting Group Ltd, Greencore Malt, Muntons plc and Simpsons Malt Limited - plus a brewer maltster, Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) Ltd.

Bairds Malt Ltd
Bairds Malt was formed in 1999 when two well established malting companies - Hugh Baird and Sons and Moray Firth Maltings - merged. The company has five malting sites across the UK at Arbroath, Inverness , Pencaitland, Witham and Grantham. Its total annual malting capacity of 245,000 is used in breweries and distilleries in the UK , as well as in overseas markets such as Japan , South Africa and the United States . Crisp Malting Group Ltd
The Crisp Malting Group was originally established in 1890. It produces some 215,000 tonnes of malt each year at four plants based at Great Ryburgh, Norfolk , Ditchingham, Suffolk, Alloa, on the Firth of Forth and Portgordon, Speyside. Greencore Malt
The Greencore Malting Group was formed at the beginning of 2000 following the integration of the three Greencore owned malting companies of Pauls Malt in the UK , Minch Malt in Ireland , and Belgomalt in Belgium . The British part of the operation, Greencore Malt, is the largest malting company in the UK. It has a production capacity of 310,000 tonnes of malt from four plants based in - Knapton and Bury St. Edmunds in England and Glenesk and Buckie in Scotland. Muntons plc
Muntons was originally established by the Baker-Munton family in Bedford, it has grown steadily by building and acquiring malting capacity at a variety of sites in the UK . Today the maltings locations are concentrated on sites at Bridlington, North Yorkshire and Stowmarket, Suffolk . The company supplies up to 200,000 tonnes of malt to the brewing, distilling. and food industries in the UK domestic market and to export markets. Simpsons Malt Limited
Simpsons Malt is a family-owned company originally established in Alnwick, Northumberland in 1866. Through acquisition and building, it established its business throughout England , and today runs three maltings at Berwick on Tweed , Northumberland, Tivetshall St. Margaret in Norfolk , and Mistley in Essex . The company produces some 240,000 tonnes of malt each year for use in brewing, distilling and as food ingredients in the UK and abroad. Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) Ltd
Molson Coors is the one brewing company currently accredited as part of the AUKM scheme for the malt it produces for use in its own beers. Established in the US in 1873, Molson Coors UK operation has an even longer heritage dating back to the 1740s when William Worthington set up business in Burton.
